I'm actually surprised that Vancouver just let him go.

I'm just as surprised that more teams didn't jump at this kid sooner.

Nice signing by the 'Canes.

Buffalo should have reacquired Grags. That would have been a serious kick in the balls!

Please tell me YOU'RE kidding!

I had to no idea that Vancouver was SO deep on D that they can just let decent prospects walk.

Look, Grags could not, and would not play defense.

You knew it, we knew it, the Hurricans will know soon enough.
Sure he can learn and get better but the guy is built like a twig and will never, ever have a physical element, alot like the Hoff.

In that respect the trade does indeed seem to factor out in ur favor but the jury is still out on Coho and Kassian.

Give it another two or three years before you full out rule in one teams favor.

He's 25, which waters down his prospect status a bit.

He would be waiver eligible and I believe re-entry waiver eligible as well so there's really no point. We already have Edler, Bieksa, Hamhuis, Garrison, Ballard, Alberts, Tanev on the team. He didn't show much in his few games here and I was never a fan of him in the first place. He's a risk d-man and I didn't see much reward or offensive production.

Who knows, maybe he'll turn things around in Carolina. Could be a good 6/7 d-man PP specialist type.

Agreed. Except Ehrhoff can actually put up the points and is a highly skilled d-man. He's also improve his defensive game since his SJ days.
